MXIO: High quality buttons for 12v systems.

Existing buttons always leave something to be desired. They look cheap, feel mushy and are of varying quality. MXIO brings mechanical keyboard switches to your car. They give a great mechanical feel, a satisfying sound and rated for more than 50 million presses. That should be enough. Oh, and they’re hot swappable, so you can bring your own switches.

The problem

Most car buttons suck. Big time

There is nothing worse than a great project car that just doesn’t feel right. Sure, it drives amazing. But as soon as you push a button for one of your custom systems, you feel as if you have raided AliExpress. Because, well.. you did. After a few unsatisfying button pushes, the button dies. Now what?

The solution

MXIO buttons are satisfying, of high quality and repairable

Our Damage Control MXIO buttons aim to fix all of your frustrations. We are not reinventing the wheel here. MXIO buttons are based on CherryMX mechanical keyboard switches. Our design makes the switches themselves hot swappable and interchangeable with other mechanical switches. Clicky or linear, CherryMX or Kailh, you get to swap them out yourselves with ease. Great for customization and repairability.

The part we are developing translates the mechanical switch input to 12 volt systems. There will be a small dip switch so that you can switch between toggle or momentary so that you can use them for everything that you can imagine.

Wire everything up

You will need to wire your 12 volt systems to MXIO. We recommend that you use the included connectors.

Install our 1DIN panel

Our 1DIN panel will include the MXIO buttons in a 6x2 grid, with keycaps.

Push as much as you want

Now you can push buttons to your heart's content. Maybe you’ll even leave a button disconnected to fidget all day.
